At a government school inside Bandipur Tiger Reserve, GCT installed a water filter so students could access clean drinking water and focus on learning without worrying about waterborne illness.

GCT distributed essential tarpaulins to tribal families inside Nagarahole Tiger Reserve, helping protect them from rain, wind, and harsh weather conditions.

On World Wildlife Day, GCT Founder Sri Diwakar B.S. delivered a session titled “Saving Gentle Giants: From Awareness to Action” for degree students at BES College, Bengaluru. The event engaged over 116 students and focused on practical steps for elephant conservation.

GCT supported the college fees of a tribal girl pursuing her B.Ed. in HD Kote, helping her continue her education and move closer to an independent future.

As monsoon rains intensified in Nagarahole Tiger Reserve, GCT distributed 20+ tarpaulins to tribal families, matching each one to family size and need to offer essential protection from the rain.

GCT supported the construction of a temple compound inside Nagarahole Tiger Reserve, creating a shared space that strengthens bonds, traditions, and community togetherness.

For the third consecutive year, GCT donated essential stationery supplies to the tribal school inside Bandipur Tiger Reserve, helping children continue learning with the basic tools they need.

After a baby snake was spotted in a school washroom inside Bandipur Tiger Reserve, GCT’s Founder safely rescued the animal and turned the moment into a lesson on respecting wildlife and staying safe.

GCT distributed school kits to children living deep inside Nagarahole Tiger Reserve, helping remote communities access essential learning materials through donor and volunteer support.

GCT delivered school kits to children at Lower Primary Government School, Chamarajanagar, reinforcing how even small efforts can make a meaningful difference for children with limited access to infrastructure.

After sponsoring a tribal student’s 1st Year PUC fees in 2024, GCT continued its support in 2025 by covering his 2nd Year PUC academic fees and helping him stay on track with his education.

GCT conducted an interactive session in Nagarahole Tiger Reserve on the importance of tigers in the ecosystem, including a quiz competition that encouraged participation and made conservation learning memorable.

In collaboration with the Forest Department, GCT celebrated World Tiger Day at Magge School in H.D. Kote Taluk, where Founder Trustee Mr. Diwakar highlighted why the next generation must be involved in conservation early.

In a major August outreach effort, GCT completed 4 sessions across 4 colleges and engaged over 540 students. The workshops covered human-elephant conflict, habitat loss, poaching, and coexistence strategies, building strong awareness among young audiences.

To help families cope with winter conditions, GCT distributed 100+ warm blankets, sanitary pads for women and girls, and pressure cookers to communities living deep inside Nagarahole Tiger Reserve.

GCT Founder Diwakar B.S. authored an article titled “Sculptors of the Forest – The Path to Asian Elephant Conservation” for the November edition of the Vanya monthly online magazine, highlighting the critical ecological role of elephants.
