About Us
Gaja Conservation Trust works at the intersection of conservation science, wildlife connectivity, and community resilience, with a strong focus on elephant landscapes and the people who share them.
Gaja Conservation Trust is a non-profit mainly working on understanding functional connectivity of elephants between landscapes. Our honest endeavor is to study, conserve and protect the connectivity areas so that elephants and other wildlife can use them to move across landscapes.
We also study the effects of linear infrastructure on connectivity of landscapes and how they affect movement of elephants. We engage with local community living around elephant landscapes as they are the ones who have been protecting and conserving wildlife in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
Alongside wildlife conservation, we work with tribal and rural communities through education support, upliftment initiatives, and practical interventions that strengthen dignity, opportunity, and sustainable coexistence.
