Community Outreach Programmes

GCT distributed essential items such as blankets, water storage buckets, sleeping mats, and sanitary pads to tribal communities, helping address basic needs and improve daily living conditions. The initiative also enhanced hygiene and comfort, especially during colder months.

GCT organized school kit donation drives in Nagarahole (March), Bandipur (June), and HD Kote (November). Items distributed included books, pencils, raincoats, school bags, steel plates, tumblers, and sports kits to support education and overall child development. The Kaveri Seva Foundation also partnered in March to provide materials.

To improve water management in a government school inside Nagarahole Tiger Reserve, GCT donated water storage drums. The initiative helped strengthen water access and storage for both students and staff.

In collaboration with Prasad Foundation, GCT provided financial assistance to a tribal girl student pursuing a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree. The support helped her continue her studies and work toward stronger career prospects and financial independence.

GCT donated three computers to different schools in remote forest areas to help bridge the digital divide and improve access to quality education. The contribution supported digital learning opportunities for students in underserved communities.

GCT provided two laptops to MCA and PUC students, equipping them with essential tools to support their studies and progress in higher education.

To mark World Elephant Day, GCT hosted a special programme at a government high school in DB Kuppe inside Nagarahole Tiger Reserve. The event included a quiz competition on elephant conservation to encourage student awareness and participation.

GCT donated steel plates and stationery to school children to support both their nutritional and educational needs. The initiative ensured children had necessary utensils for meals while also strengthening access to school materials.

GCT supported a tribal family whose hut was damaged by heavy monsoon rains by providing tarpaulins and construction materials. This assistance helped the family restore their home and regain safety and stability.

In collaboration with the HAL Families Welfare Association, GCT donated a water filter to a government school in HD Kote so that students would have reliable access to clean drinking water.

GCT provided custom-stitched school uniforms to children inside a forest area, with each uniform tailored to the child’s measurements for comfort and practicality. The initiative supported confidence, morale, and continued participation in education.

GCT extended financial assistance to a single mother so that her daughter could pursue an 8-month nursing course. The support aimed to equip the student with practical skills for employment and help strengthen the family’s future.

GCT hosted monthly podcasts featuring eminent wildlife scholars who shared insights on elephant conservation and related topics. These sessions helped educate the public, raise awareness, and encourage meaningful conversations around protecting elephant habitats and supporting sustainable practices.
