World Elephant Day Celebration
📅 August 2023 • Govt High School, Udeva Village, Birur, ChickmagalurOn account of World Elephant Day, GCT conducted an awareness programme for the students of Govt High School in Udeva village, Birur, Chickmagalur. The session introduced young learners to elephant conservation, ecosystem balance, and the importance of human-elephant coexistence.

- A talk on elephants and their important role in maintaining ecosystems.
- Human-elephant conflict and mitigation strategies.
- An interactive session where students shared their experiences and questions.
- A quiz event followed by prize distribution, including wildlife-related books.
Collaborative Partnership
GCT conducted this programme in collaboration with Prathibimba Trust, which has adopted the school. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to conservation education for rural communities living close to wildlife landscapes.
