Wildlife researcher, conservationist and speaker with more than a decade of experience in field conservation, wildlife research, environmental education and community engagement.
Diwakar B S
Diwakar B.S., Founder Trustee of Gaja Conservation Trust®, is a wildlife researcher, conservationist and speaker with an M.Sc. in Information Technology and an Elite Silver certification in Wildlife Conservation from IIT Kanpur.
Actively involved in wildlife conservation since 2014, Diwakar has collaborated with Forest Departments across India on wildlife monitoring, census programmes, habitat conservation, human-elephant conflict research, elephant behaviour studies and forest fire management.
He has also participated in wildlife rescue efforts and community-based conservation initiatives that promote safe coexistence between people and wildlife.
A passionate conservation educator, Diwakar has delivered multiple awareness sessions and public lectures for schools, colleges, villages and community groups, inspiring thousands to appreciate and protect India’s natural heritage.
His work combines scientific research, field experience and community engagement to create lasting conservation impact. Diwakar brings a deep understanding of wilderness ecosystems and a lifelong commitment to protecting them.
Through Gaja Conservation Trust, he continues to lead initiatives in wildlife conservation, education and outreach, community development and environmental awareness, working towards a future where people and wildlife coexist in harmony.
He is also a passionate trekker who has been trekking in the Himalayan ranges since 2008, reaching elevations up to 20,400 ft.

As Trustee and Treasurer of Gaja Conservation Trust, Rashmi oversees the organisation’s financial governance, budgeting and compliance. Committed to transparency and accountability, she ensures that every contribution is managed responsibly and directed towards creating meaningful conservation and community impact. Her stewardship helps strengthen the trust of donors, partners and beneficiaries alike.

As Trustee and Partnerships Lead, Naveen drives fundraising initiatives and builds meaningful relationships with donors and partners. Passionate about advancing conservation and education, he works to secure sustainable resources that enable Gaja Conservation Trust to expand its programmes and create lasting positive change for wildlife and forest-dependent communities.

Chandan leads the digital and technology initiatives of Gaja Conservation Trust, managing the organisation’s website and digital infrastructure. He ensures that information is accessible, secure and engaging while leveraging technology to enhance outreach, streamline operations and strengthen engagement with the Trust’s conservation mission.

Sreenivas G
As Conservation Programs Manager, Sreenivas plans and coordinates Gaja Conservation Trust’s wildlife conservation, environmental education and community development initiatives. Working closely with schools, local communities and volunteers, he ensures that every programme is thoughtfully designed, effectively implemented and aligned with the Trust’s mission of promoting coexistence between people and wildlife.
